    Wavesare 5" strange behavior

    All the ts_ utilities are included in the libts package which is loaded automatically when you enable jivelite in the tweaks menu.

    You should find them in /usr/local/bin

    Thank all of you very much for the support - I have similar issues with my waveshare 5-inch touchscreen.

    The suggestion by korrus worked to finally get jivelite working in full screen without black bars top and bottom
    hdmi_group=2
    hdmi_mode=87
    hdmi_cvt 800 480 60 6 0 0 0
    hdmi_drive=1

    Now I'm struggling with the touch function.
    but when trying to run ts_calibrate I get "ts_setup: no such file or directory" or "open tty: Permission denied"
    I understand I have to define variables up front but this does not seem to do the trick.

    This is my device:
    I: Bus=0000 Vendor=0000 Product=0000 Version=0000
    N: Name="ADS7846 Touchscreen"
    P: Phys=spi0.1/input0
    S: Sysfs=/devices/platform/soc/3f204000.spi/spi_master/spi0/spi0.1/input/input4
    U: Uniq=
    H: Handlers=mouse1 event4
    B: PROP=0
    B: EV=b
    B: KEY=400 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
    B: ABS=1000003

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Just a guess ... try running it from the home directory (the place where you land when you login) rather than changing directory into /usr/local/bin which I assume is in the path.

    What is the output when You do that?
    /usr/local/bin$ ls -1 ts_*
