    Error when attempting to Open LMS control panel

    Specs as follows:-

    LMS 7.9.2
    AMD Turion II CPU

    I'm getting a bunch of the following errors when attempting to open the LMS control panel from the system tray (with admin privileges)

    It started a couple of updates ago. Tried re-install, rollback of LMS and clean install. Web client working normally.

    Any advice gratefully received!

    Some searching in google seems to suggest a missing .dll or an issue with the perl libraries... or perhaps microsoft visual basic..

    I've also run an integrity check of my windows installation.... Any suggestions gratefully received...

    Any file/folders beginning pdk in the local Temp are temporary. I would suggest stop LMS and Control panel. Delete all files/folders beginning pdk in the Temp directory and then try to restart Control panel and LMS.

    In the past we've had issues with antivirus programs blocking those
    files. What AV product are you using? Maybe it has some status feature
    where it would list such incidents?

    Funny enough, there were none of these files in the temp folder when I stopped the sever/control panel and went there... When double clicked the desktop shortcut to open LMS again it came up with the same error as the original post...

    It's windows defender security... can't see any logs anywhere, I'll try the Event Viewer perhaps.. cheers
