Its likely the readynas will be better, but it depends on the architecture of the cpus not just speed. However the extra ram wont hurt either.
    Its free to try ...

Have a look for a thread by pinkfish (?) about getting the most uptodate LMS onro your NAS too. That'll help a little

Is it possible to install PiCorePlayer on Raspbian Stretch?

I have searched before posting this, and have been a happy LMS and PCP user for many years.

Is it possible to install PCP on an already running instance of Raspbian Stretch on Raspberry Pi3?
I am asking because there are a couple things (Organizr and FreshRSS mostly) I would like to run along side it.

    Many thanks

    pCP 4.1.0 (Standard) Minor Bugreport

I have created a custom lircd.conf for my SB3 remote (Sleep key sends "sleep (S) " rather than "esc" as in the supplied lircd.conf. I uploaded this to my windows machine via SSH and called it "SB3_Remote_lirc.conf"

When I went to upload it from the GUI but it failed (See attached)

    Name: 1.jpg
Views: 208
Size: 65.7 KB

    Name: 2.jpg
Views: 208
Size: 31.0 KB

I noticed that in screenshot 1 the file was "lirc.conf" so renamed the file and tried again

    Name: 3.jpg
Views: 210
Size: 65.8 KB

    Name: 4.jpg
Views: 208
Size: 30.5 KB

In the end I sent "lircd.conf" by ssh to /tmp and this installed correctly

Size: 37.4 KB

I am making the assumption that "Upload Custom lirc.conf" is an easier way of sending lircd.conf to pCP rather than SSH and then using "Custom" in the lirc GUI page and not for something else ?

Thanks, I'll check it out. And yes, it was meant to be an easier way to manage other that using SSH/SCP
