    Why not

    a) drop an e-mail to KEF and ask them?

    b) find a local dealer with a demo pair and take along a pi set up with pCP player/LMS, a few files on a usb stick or the sd card and maybe a wifi dongle (just in case), have a day out

Yep.. out of curiosity I'll drop Kef an email. But I assume they will respond back saying that the LS50W's should be able to play music based on the pi/pCP settings ;-)
But maybe I'm mistaken here. Keep you posted.

Regarding the dealer... I visited one of the local dealers spontaneously yesterday.
He hasn't set up the LS50W's and needs an appointment.

So we talked a bit and I told him my "use cases" (that I have a Pi w pCP, a Touch and a Riva Arena which can be synched all together and controlled with brilliant apps like iPeng and Orange Squeeze) which I like to keep (just go from the pi to the Kef's instead of an external Dac and then to an Integrated).

He was quite surprised that all three devices can be synched.

Bottomline is that he doesn't know if the Kef's and the pi/pCP combo will work.
But he made the offer that I could take the Kef's for a couple of days.
    Maybe I'll try it.

I was that guy I was talking "theoretically". It "should" work, and with some trial and error you'll probably get the right settings, but even if for some reason Pi and speakers would refuse to talk to each other a simple "Digi" HAT for the PI with a TOSLINK output will solve that issue and get you going up to 24/192 for a relatively small outlay (26$ - https://www.hifiberry.com/shop/board...ndard-version/, 30£ - https://www.justboom.co/product/justboom-digi-hat/, 33£ - http://iqaudio.co.uk/hats/48-pi-digi.html, 50€ - https://www.osaelectronics.com/produ...-pi-1ab-2b-3b/, but that's a DAC as well)

Thanks again for pointing me to the pCP team ;-)
Actually I meant another guy who was "thrilled to report the the KEF LS50 Wireless DAC "just works"". But, my bad, that was in the EDO thread hence it appears that he is using the Touch.

Good point regarding the Digi+. But I have the Digi+ with another Pi already in use (for Kodi) therefore I'd like to use pCP via USB. ;-)
The RCA in at the Kef's would be used with my CD player.

All theoretical of course if I would buy them.
Let's see what Kef Germany support will say. At least I dropped them an email.

@Paul and the rest of the pCP team: I don't want to hijack this thread hence pls let me know if further discussion should be done in a separate thread "Kef ls50 wireless & pCP".

    Cheers,
    Markus

What you are reporting is not what the info on IQAudIO’s documentation says.

    Thanks
I note my neighbour, man in a van has reported something similar, but here's a screenshot of my happily working config page as you requested:

I only got the Digi+ last week and on the first installation under 3.5.0 it automatically loaded IQaudIODigi instead of IQAudioDigi in the "Output Setting" box. Same again under version 4.0.0-b4.

Took me about 30 minutes to find too.

Thats what I wanted to see ian. Thanks, will fix it for the release.

It's obviously a typo on their part.

The IQaudIO DAC boards are: IQaudIODAC

And the DIGI boards are: IQAudIODigi

CD Player....isn't that only useful for ripping....

I don't mind it, just keep it to the specific USB connection. I glanced at the information, they do not specify which internal DAC they are using, so there is really no way to know. The Bluetooth information is sketchy too, hard to tell if that is just for the app interface, or if it can be a Bluetooth speaker. Just remember bluetooth audio is a very limited bit rate and depth.

Did a clean install on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ of Audio version running a Meridian Explorer 2 DAC plus USB Hard Drive plus WiFi setup and everything is working fine

    Raspberry Pi 1 Model B

I have the Wolfson Card (old Model) with the Model B, When I enable the Wolfson Card. The Squeezelite page will cut off at Unmute ALSA control(partial page). I have to switch to Advanced mode instead of Beta mode to save my configuration. Other than this, everything is working.
