The Apple Store Genius accidentally wiped out my entire MacBook Pro Hard Drive. Fortunately I was able to do a full restore from my Apple Tiime Capsule .... however... the Logitech Media Server does not launch. When I press “start” in preferences nothing happens.
What do I do?
I would appreciate any advice and step by step instructions.
Thank you.

Most likely this is an issue with permissions on the log folder, as
we've often seen in the past. You can try to download the following
script and run it:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/r9hswxhf0t...sions.zip?dl=0
It will ask for admin password, as it's going to change access
permissions on ~/Logs. After you've run the script LMS should work again.

Still a Problem....
Thanks Michael,
I downloaded the file you suggested and clicked on it and it unzipped. I am not sure if I was supposed to do anything else.
Anyway I then tried to download LMS 7.9.1 and it was a success and it now appears in my System Preferences.
HOWEVER, ... when I try to START the LMS (by pushing "Start Server") .... after a few seconds with the message "server is starting" it FAILS to start and the button again says "Start Server"
Do you have any followup suggestions?
Thanks so much.

Did you run the script you extracted from the zip file?

Run "ls -al ~/Library/Logs/Squeezebox" in a terminal window, paste
results here.

Thanks for the heads-up. I updated the link. And just in case:
