    Correct, for Synology you need the path given in my post;

    As Paul already mentioned, there is no need to change the hosts file also.
    After modifications, reboot your players and restart LMS.

    I confirm it works on my end, no Synology, a vortexbox, but I consider the principle proven

    Workshop: iPad 32GB Wifi + Squeezepad (local playback activated)

    Kitchen: iPhone 5s + iPeng (local playback activated) + NAD 312 + Teufel Ultima 20 Mk 2
    Headphone (cozy corner): Lenovo T550 + Squeezelite-X + Cyrus Soundkey + Topping A30 + Focal Elear
    Car: TBC ...

    Scrobbling to sth else than Last.fm

    It would be quite straight forward to change the Audioscrobbler plugin
    to support Libre.fm, too. Except for the many strings changes...

    But does this service have any more future than Last.fm? It's been
    idling for 2+ years.

    No, its just a simple scrobble service and never evolved into something similar as LastFM.

    Its good to have options but I doubt this would be a much used one.

    but I'll get back to this issue as soon as possible.
