Oh, now that's interesting. I thought that was pretty much rock solid.
And there's little reason why it would stop after some time. The
    server.log definitely should help us.
Ok, now I hab no more crashes, so the log file attached might be boring.

I disabled PCM and FLAC for spotty in advanced settings, so now it only uses mp3 recoding. I realized, that my wireless network is pretty weak at 2.4 GHz, so sometimes only very slow wireless between pi and touch or radio (router says 6 mbps). Streaming mp3 needs less bandwidth. Could that have been the cause for the crashes?

Also, I tried out the spotify app on windows and on iOS to control both touch and radio. No problems there.

In my setup, WiFi quality had the biggest impact on Spotty performance. Not sure what APs you use, but it might help to try upgrading your firmware to the latest revision. I am running Ubiquiti APs - 1 AC Pro and 1 AC Lite, upgraded the firmware last month and (fingers crossed) performance has been flawless. I also updated to a recent 7.9.2 nightly from 7.9.1 and updated Spotty at the same time, so it could be a combination of any of those factors. Iĺm giving credit to the WiFi primarily because I used to get periodic drops streaming video before and thatĺs stopped as well, so unrelated to my LMS setup.

You might be right. Unfortunately my AP is the router of my provider. Using a different AP is mre complicated.

Since setting disabling FLAC and PCM in file types settings for spotty, such that it reencodes to mp3, it has been working flawlessly, streaming to SB Touch and Radio and iOS devices with iPeng9 as players. Why can spotty not stream OggVOrbis natively?

I will now enable FLAC again just to try it out :-)

Ok, music stopped again after one or two songs when enabling FLAC in file types settings. I have attached the log file. Spotty was updated to 2.3.2 before. I have now disabled FLAC again.

I saw people have simliar problems in the other thread (the one about 2.3.0)...

Pity, now (since 2.3.2??) it stops playing at track transitions. There is really nothing in the log... as far as I can see.

I see the same but only (I think) when using Connect.

Spotty: no sound after first two songs

That log doesn't show me anything unexpected - except for quite a few
server restarts within an hour or two. But I guess that was you?

What OS & hardware are you running LMS on?

Yes, that was me! Spotty music stopped, so had to restart. I have not been using connect.
