First i would suggest to install it, without copy back old settings.

Still getting errors, try following.Logon on to you're Qnap by ssh shell, do [ cd /share/*/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer ]
    [ /bin/chown -R squeezeboxserver:everyone SlimServer/ ], [ /bin/chmod -R 0775 SlimServer/ ] and [ /bin/chown -R squeezeboxserver:everyone .MusicIP/]
Now do [ ./LogitechMediaServer.sh restart ], and look at the messages.
Still trouble, try a reboot first.
    That did the trick, thanks.

MusicIP is running and I forgot the backup prefs and cache folders so no idea if that works.
Scanning is faster than the old SSOTS there it took more than 45 minutes now scanning is done in some 25 minutes.
Overall great job thanks for all your spare time you put in it.

Nice to read it works, and it seems to be doing things a bit faster.
Happy to read that MusicIP, also is running now.

Spoken a little bit to early, MusicIP is running but when I'm trying to start a mix with sugarcube i get the message that MusicIP's API is disabled although it's up and running and I believe that this is caused by the fact that Musicip must start before LMS.

Can you acces the webgui. If yes look at mmm.ini in the .MusicMagic dir. There is a mmm.ini, in there a line api=. I think must be 1 but could also be 0.

Musicip starts before lms, so this is not the problem. If running which you could check through ./LogitehMediaServer.sh status. Look at the mmm.ini in .MusicIP/.MusicMagic/ dir. After altering some do a restart on lms.

The webgui is working and in the mmm.ini file api must be set to 1 so all that looks good, on the LMS side I can set filters in both Sugarcubu and MusicIP nothing wrong it seems but still the message that the API is not working. But now I realize that I have experienced this before on another machine, I just do not know how this was solved at the time.
