that you can embed in your Link URLs in the Tray Menu Links. SLX will then replace them with what is currently playing in the browser.

So you can create links like this:
Cool! Will try it asap - thank you!

    Version 1.6.1

Version 1.6.1 is published. Changes include:

Track, Artist, Album variables that can be embedded in Tray Menu Links.

Output device. Now uses output device name instead of output device number when calling squeezelite-win.exe. Previously. SLX would use the device number (e.g. -o #) when starting squeezelite-win.exe player. Now it will call squeezelite-win.exe using the actual device name (e.g. -o "Output Device Name"). When starting squeezelite-win.exe, SLX will first check to confirm the device name is available, if not available the will revert to default. This change is an attempt to make the output device selection for squeezelite-win.exe a little more robust for cases where the output device list changes. The output device list can change when devices are plugged-in or unplugged, or when you RDP into your desktop and if an invalid output device is selected, squeezelite-win.exe could fail. Be advised that when you upgrade to 1.6.1, the output device will revert to default the first time you run it.

Using the name with -o is best as usb devices almost alway change id on reboot.

The picoreplayer team found an issue with squeezelite device selection recently which you may have run into.

If the -r and -o options are used squeezelite does not validated the device exists before starting the output thread.
This causes squeezelite to wait forever for the device to become available or until you killed it.

I have a fix, but it's a big change to the startup process, that needs lots of testing.

I've been playing with SLX recently at the office and it's amazing!

Thanks, Ralphy, for the encouragement! I have seen some health telemetry from the MS store I thought may be related to squeezelite and invalid output devices, which is what motivated me finally fixing SLX to call squeezelite using device names. When I first wrote SLX, I didn't even know it would take names instead of numbers. Thank you so much for all your efforts supporting the community and especially squeezelite. THAT is what is amazing.

Still playing around with it, but wanted to get thoughts/opinions.

    I really like this idea.
