Hi Folks,
I would like to start multiple shairport-snyc Instances on my PcP 5.0.
I have a 7.1 USB Audiocard which I split into 4 Stereo Channels.
So I now generated 4 PcP Instances via:
and so on.Code:/usr/local/bin/squeezelite -n "Bath" -o stereosurround -a 80:::0: -m ab:cd:ef:12:34:01 -C 1 -G 8:L -z /usr/local/bin/squeezelite -n "Kitchen" -o stereofront -a 80:::0: -m ab:cd:ef:12:34:02 -C 1 -G 8:L -z
Now I want to do this also with Shairport-Sync, so that I can Stream to each room separately.
Can anyone give me a hint how I can reach my target?
I searched but couldn´t find a solution.
Thanks in Advance.

I don't know whether this is possible with Shairport-Sync, but I know you can do this with Philippe's 'ShairTunes2 (fork)' plugin. This allows you to define each separate player (or even group player) as a separate Airplay end point.

Thanks but for Shairtunes I will Need LMS?
Perhaps there is a possibility without LMS....

That's true, but I assumed you'd have LMS running somewhere in order to feed your Squeezelite players. ShairTunes doesn't have to be on the same device as the players.
If that's not going to work, have you investigated the command line that Shairport-Sync uses? Perhaps set up one instance, and then look at the process that was started (ps from the command line).

So I did a search:
Stream to each room separately with Shairport-Sync
https://github.com/mikebrady/shairport-sync/issues/384
and this is what the dev changed to
https://github.com/noelhibbard/node-airplayhub
I don't know if there is a clue contained within, that will help, or not.
Maybe just try with a spare SD card and a copy of Raspbian-Lite.
As pCP is a minimal install of everything, maybe the Shairport-Sync is a bit resticted.
all the best
