Additional Browse Modes and specifying genres

I tend to like listening to a genre of music, using random play often requires a lot of clicking/touching genres and an accurately tagged music librabry.

I've been trying out "Additional Browse Modes" and it's pretty close to what I want. I've created a few browse modes primarily to try things out, since I make only rare changes to LMS and I started trying out this last year(?) or longer ago. A few basic questions. (FYI I only have one(All) library view).

    1. Where should the additional browse modes show up? Does this show an Additional Browse Mode called "chillout"?
    2. Why are the other browse modes not shown?
    3. If thats not a browse mode, where did that come from?

    3. How should the genres be specified, commas and spaces as shown, or the default tag delimiter and no space? eg "Chill, Chillout" vs "Chill;Chillout"

Any "Additional Browse Modes" you create are per player, you need to enable them at LMS > Settings > Player (tab) > Additional Browse Modes.

I just copy/paste the genres from the list, the format seems to be ", " (comma space).

Which version of LMS are you running?

Additional Browse Modes is a Logitech plugin, and should already be installed. LMS > Settings > plugins > top item.

Running Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.6, which is the last auto-update it did. I don't have that as a plug-in at all, first thing on my list there is "Amazon CD Store." I'm relatively new to this; is there a more recent version, and if so, where do I get it? Thanks!

Thanks so much, that did the trick. But that said, is there any way to configure this plugin to work other than sorting by genre? (Or are there other options that would allow that?) I have a lot of various artists CDs so many of my albums aren't one genre, and ideally I could just have each separate folder on my server be a view...so I could choose just to look at country, jazz, whatever alone. I am a little surprised that this isn't just built in from the getgo with LMS since I'm sure many of us don't exclusively listen to just a small selection of styles, and it's hard to really wade through my collection to listen if a bluegrass CD from 2007 is sitting right next to a doowop collection from 1954, or whatever, in the album view.
