    ROON/ROCK to SBT via USB

Is it possible to connect a NUC running ROON/ROCK directly to my SBT via the USB port on both the NUC and SBT?
Essentially, just using the SBT as a DAC?

You can make the SBT a roon endpoint via a Roon setting, with the NUC connected to your router and the SBT connected to your router (via wifi or ethernet). But I don't think you can connect the SBT to the NUC running Roon via USB.

    Thanks for your reply.
What you describe is how I have it connected now.
For some reason, I don't have the same screen control I have with SBT connected to LMS.
Since both devices sit next to each other I thought I just connect via USB and control everything from the ROON interface.
I suspect you're are correct, USB cannot be used for input.

Once you set the SBT to be used as roon endpoint it won't work the way it does with LMS (you won't see the same screen control as you noticed). But you can still control it with your Roon interface with the setup you already have. You just select the SBT as your player, and you can control it, see what's playing, etc. all from any Roon control point (PC, MAc, iphone, ipad, android, etc.)

Yes, control from ROON works well.
I'll just leave it connected as-is and set the screen to a clock or something, thanks for the feedback.
