Hello everyone, I decided that Ubuntu 16.04 and LMS 7.9.1 would be a great vase to build from but I cannot get LMS to install ?
All I have done is do a fresh install of 16.04 and then tried to do fresh install of LMS immediately. But the Install doesn't get as far as starting Logitechmediaserver?
Am I missing some libraries or doing something stupid?
Thans for any help

This is what happens on the install

brodan@brodan-ThinkPad-X200:~$
I don't get as far as this step because the process didn't start ? -
To run Logitechmediaserver in Debian / Ubuntu:
Logitechmediaserver is started automatically by the installation script and every time you boot.
If you want to start/stop Logitechmediaserver manually you can run:
sudo service logitechmediaserver start
and
sudo service logitechmediaserver stop

This looks ok. After installation you have to configure LMS via the web interface via localhost:9000 in your browser.
If this is not working you can reboot your system or use the manual command: sudo service logitechmediaserverstart and try again.Living Room: HifiBerry DAC+ Pro & piCorePlayer
Attic: HifiBerry DAC+ RCA & piCorePlayer
Other rooms: 6x SB Radio
LMS: Version 8.1.x on Xubuntu 20.04LTS

Thanks everyone and for confirming the install looked ok.
I booted up this am and noticed a lot(more) of activity on startup. Tried to find local host again and all burst into life!!!
My assumption is that the install completion was in a queue of updates??? as the system was a new install.
Next step it to automatically mount my WDmycloud NAS and have Logitec scan it. Any threads on this in the forum?
