[Announce] Radio Paradise LosslessStreaming (Plugin v2)

Please also verify other services and content don't break with the new
behaviour. Try to play whatever else you play every now and then and
which triggers that "defeat touch to play" menu. Thanks!

I seem to have an issue with Youtube. It looks like it is playing but I get no sound. I swapped the old XMLbrowser.pm back in and it works again.

Crap... would have surprised me if that hack had worked reliably :-D.

I'll probably just remove the menu item causing the problem.

When I replaced the old XMLbrowser.pm the Radio Paradise menus worked correctly until I enabled HD images which broke them. So removing that feature would fix it.

I am starting to wonder if the Youtube issue was actually caused by the modified XMLbrowser.pm. After seeing some posts on the Youtube thread describing similar symptoms I tried playing some Youtube tracks and sure enough there was no sound using the original XMLbrowser.pm file. So maybe your hack is working!

I am getting failures on the new FLAC stream. This starts with a stutter for 3 seconds, music comes back for 3 seconds and then stops completely. This happens on both Boom and SB3:

    No sound with synchronized players

Hi, I just started using RP 2.4.2, with LMS 7.9.1 on an Allo Sparky with Max2Play. I synchronize Squeezelite with a Squeezebox Classic. Until the update performance was pretty good, with some occasional dropout. But the update brought immediate problems:

Without synchronization, Squeezelite will play Main Mix AAC 320kbps and 128kbps but neither FLAC Interactive nor FLAC Regular Stream. With the FLAC streams the ‘time playing’ indicator counts up and song info displays in a browser, but there’s no sound, and it quits at the end of a song. With the AAC streams everything seems normal.

By itself, the Squeezebox Classic will not play either of the available FLAC options: FLAC Interactive, FLAC Regular Stream, but it will play MP3 192kbps. With FLAC, the appropriate messages display ("Radio Paradise," "FLAC Interactive" ...) and the ‘time play’ counts up, but no music actually plays.

Synchronized, the options are FLAC Interactive, FLAC Regular Stream, and MPS3 192kpbs. (I don’t know why AAC is unavailable.) FLAC behavior is as above, while with MP3 the ’time playing’ counts for about 25 seconds and then gives up. No sound with any of these options.

I'm hoping there may be an update soon.
    Allo Sparky, LMS 7.9.2 > Piano 2.1 + Kali, Max2Play > AudioEngine 5
    Squeezebox Classic, synchronized

If the Classic can't play it, then obviously the sync group wouldn't
play either. What does your server.log say when you try to play flac on it?

The Classic can't play AAC natively, therefore it only allows MP3 and FLAC.

And you're saying all of this changed with the latest update? TBH I
don't believe any of it should have changed.
