SqueezeBox Boom VFD Display

Hi Guys,
I have managed to locate supply of the MN16032GB VFD from the manufacturer in Japan. (roughly $80 each, plush shipping )

I am about to order a couple for my own boom repairs.

If you are quick, I should be able to add a few more to my order if anyone needs one. ( I am in Perth, Australia )

***UPDATE***

I have decided to pull out of this purchase. Apologies to those wanting to jump onboard.

Noritake (Japan) wanted 7000 yen per display ( currently about $80 AUD each )

They only use FedEx or DHL for freight.

Delivery to Australia (FedEx) was in the order of $150 AUD for a small 200 gram FedEx box.

They only accept international bank transfer for payment. My bank charges $30 AUD for the privilege and also have a very non-competitive exchange rate.

I would also have to pay 10% GST import duty.

Bottom line is that each display would be in the order of $200 - $250 EACH. ( delivered )

I just cannot justify the expense, no matter how much I love my SqueezeBox Booms.

Looks like it might be time to retire them off and just use my "Touches". What a waste.
