My vote goes to "Welterusten meneer de president" by Dutch singer Boudewijn De Groot (translated lyrics: http://lyrics.wikia.com/wiki/Boudewi...e_President/en), notably for the sarcasm-drenched lyrics and the fact that it's one of the very few (the only?) non-english protest songs against the Vietnam war.
Honourable mention goes to:
- War Pigs - Black Sabbath
- Goodnight Saigon - Billy Joel
- Born in the USA - Bruce Springsteen
- 19 - Paul Hardcastle
and of course, to stay really on topic:
- Paschendale - Iron Maiden
EDIT: quite incidentally an anti-war song which deserves an honourable mention as well just got played on the radio at the office:
