Yeah, thought that this would be the problem :-(. And I have no idea how
to build for an older glibc...

Thanks. Something's odd today: some of my postings didn't make it to the
fora, some didn't reach me by mail. And this one ended up in the wrong
place though I hit the reply button on the quoted message?...

A few questions though...
I was under the impression that a Spotify Connect implementation would be visible on the official Spotify mobile/desktop app as a selectable device, and that some Spotify Connect features like "Your Daily Playlist" would be available.
However, I think I don't understand how the Spotify Connect API works. Both of my assumptions seem to be untrue... :-)
Best regards,
Dennis.Please vote:

Michael is brave!
So no bravery was necessary actually. In less than 5 minutes everything was running on my Intel based Synology NAS running 7.9.0 with the latest LMS update. Music is playing on my SB3. Thanks for keeping Squeezeboxen alive! Where can I donate?
PS: Seeking doesn't work in my setup. When I seek the song restarts from the beginning.Last edited by cramcram; 2017-05-18 at 12:26.

On my pi2 running lms under max2play I get
"There has been a problem running the Spotty helper application. Most likely your operating system and/or platform is not supported. Please report the following details to me: Debian / armv7l-linux"
ldd (Debian EGLIBC 2.13-38+rpi2+deb7u11) 2.13

Is the gist of your previous post Michael that I need to be running a version of raspbian with a later version of GLIBC? Would it help if I try reinstalling a version of Max2play with Jessie?

I can't see a single question mark in your posting ;-)

The (admittedly lengthy) introduction said "In its current form it's a
protocol handler only. What does that mean? You're going to continue to
use the Spotify app provided by mysb.com, but the plugin will take care
of playing back content to your devices." I could have described this
more clearly: Connect doesn't work yet. There are bugs in librespot, as
well as open questions wrt. the SB integration.

Just play music from Spotify. Syncronised or not, on multiple players or
not.
> It's playing fine right now...
That's the most important feature so far :-).
What platform/OS are you running your LMS on?
