What would be better with the hifiberry digi+ or a Allo Digione than the Luckit WaveIo?

It doesn't use USB. It uses the RPI i2s output.

How do you install the Digione board in a 7" touchscreen case? It seems that some pins are already used to power the screen board

That looks like the same case as mine.

Mine is a hifiberry DAC+, the pi screen has it's own 5v power in socket, I use 2 x 2.5amp power supplies one for the pi, one for the screen (arrowed in pic below), but you could use a "Y" splitter cable (which I do in my garage set-up). This frees up the pins for the HAT.

I need to leave the case's back off though.

    Study/Server - LMS 7.9.2 - Pi3B+/pCP 3.5.0/pi screen/HiFiBerry DAC+/jivelite, 25K library and playlists on WDMyCloud, LMS cache on a USB stick (formatted ntfs).
    Lounge - Pi2/pCP 3.5.0 > HiFiBerry DIGI+ > AudioEngine DAC1 > AVI DM5
    Dining Room - Pi3B/pCP 3.5.0 > HiFiBerry AMP+/retro radio
    Garage - Pi3B/Pi screen/HiFiBerry DAC+/pCP 3.5.0 > Edifier R980T
    In car - RPi3B/pCP in AP mode > HiFiBerry DAC+ > car's audio (files on a 2TB USB drive)
    Spares - 1xTouch, 1xSB3, 1xRadio, 1xBoom

Digione received and player fully working
Question: is there an option in PCP to not have the player restarting to play the last song that was paying before switching off the player?

Maybe the LMS setting > Player > Audio > "Power On Resume" may be what you are after (not pCP).

Personally I have never played with it.

    Perfect! Thx Greg
Another question, is there an option to turn on or something to install in order to play DSD files?
At the moment I'm getting an error message

    hi sdiesel77,

I believe it is possible. I don't have any DSD files myself so I have never tried. (I should at least have a couple of examples for testing!!)

You can search back in the pCP threads or wait for a kind person to respond.

I know Paul has added more DSD functionality in the next version of pCP.

    regards
    Greg
