Hi,
I'm using a multiroom multi instance squeezelite - LMS, meaning I use instance for playing music, etc and 1 instance for doorbell sound, announcements.
Within the players list at this point I see offcourse all players. So livingroom & kitchen, bathroom, hallway, etc and sounds livingroom & kitchen, sounds bathroom, sounds hallway etc. Reason for this is that I only have to pause a certain player, play the sound or notification thru the second instance and resume the player where it left in the song.
Now what I would like to have is that the "sounds" players do not show up on the list of available players. Is there a certain why to accomplish this?

Not without a code change.
Unless you run two instances of LMS, one for the "real" players, the
other for the sounds.

Where does to code has to be changed? If it could be changed within the squeezelite files itself, this would be ideal.
Further, could you elaborate more about a second LMS? The need for 2 instances squeezelite instances on the pi itself is for player thru the same speaker.

Development of LMS ended yonks ago. Nobody is going to be adding this kind of feature to it, or Squeezlite.
Michael was simply pointing out that if you have two machines in your network running LMS then you can select which Squeezelite connects to which LMS. No software development required.

That's not quite true: official development has ended. Logitech does not
provide any updated LMS beyond 7.7. But I'm about to release 7.9 as a
community release this week. It has lots of new features compared to 7.7.
That said, the feature requested here is indeed a rather exotic use case
which I'm not sure I'd want to spend much time on.

We all appreciate your work here Michael, your resurrection of the official Spotify app is particularly appreciated by my family. But some people don't seem to understand that you are doing this for the love of it and that this is now just a community project with a few dedicated users willing to give their valuable time and skills for free.

If you would find time, even this looks exotic to you, it would be hightly appreciated, cause things are getting unworkable.
Just thinking something like "player names that start with _ are ignored in the list"
Is it stable to use multiple servers?

For stability reasons, all my systems get a restart at 4 am every night.

You could use "aplay" for sounds.
Also, look at the Touch, I *think* it uses a Wolfson WM8974 (mono) DAC for sounds.
