Sure can, take a look at the custom commands configuration.

    https://github.com/paul-1/SqueezeButtonPi-Daemon

Then take a look at the LMS cli documentation. (Press help the in you LMS web page). Then press Technical Information and then you will find the command line doc.

Look at the ôfavorites playlist.......ö commands

In the ready compiled version of SBPi there's no -f switch to specify a config file. I've tried putting the files in the same dir as the sbpd binary, but if I supply one of my 4 character names from the config file, it doesn't trigger.

This is the line from the config:

    Code:
    FAV1 = ["favorites", "playlist", "play item_id:1.1"]
the PLAY command seems to work so I know the connections are good.

What's the deal with the config file? Am I running an old version? Thanks again for any help!

I've only built the binary for pCP. The proper extension is pcp-sbpd.tcz, it can be found on the piCorePlayer Repository.

I can see it already appears to be installed correctly, and like I say - Play/Pause works which suggests i'm at least part of the way there.

    Code:
    tce-load -wi sbpd
    sbpd is already installed!

Could you confirm if you're able to specify a switch to supply a config file? In the git repo it has that in the docs (https://github.com/coolio107/SqueezeButtonPi-Daemon) though at the top of this thread the -F switch isn't present.

I just need to know where it's looking for this config file, or if there's another way to set up some custom buttons!

Do I still need to follow these instructions from 2017 at the top of the the thread?

    Code:
pcp bu # save pcp config

    cd /mnt/mmcblk0p2/tce/optional

    wget http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/picoreplayer/beta/sbpd.tcz.md5.txt

    wget http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/picoreplayer/beta/sbpd.tcz

md5sum sbpd.tcz # make sure the file downloaded correctly
    f0157164d10b86325b38fee0cb8d709e sbpd.tcz

cat sbpd.tcz.md5.txt # does it match the line above?
    f0157164d10b86325b38fee0cb8d709e sbpd.tcz

    echo "sbpd.tcz" >> /mnt/mmcblk0p2/tce/onboot.lst

pcp rb # you must reboot!
The tce-load command doesn't appear to update the onboot.lst file. I am so confused!

    Thanks again

That is not the correct extension, delete it and get the right one. Just use the extension browser on the pCP web interface and select the piCorePlayer Repository.

    Hi Velcrotaste ;-)
Besides the advise you already got, I noticed the word Radiobutton.
I am not sure the correct event is triggered , if the contact is made continues for a chosen button.
But you can test that quite simply by holding a test button down.
If you need Normally Open contacts, you could see to mount contacts just below the mechanical parts of the radio button and get a momentary contact when the button is depressed most.

Recently I found out that I started my pcp Radio with multiple stations in a playlist, and the next and previous buttons allowed me to cycle though that list.
So if you are restricted to 3 buttons , using standard prev,play/pause,next functions could give you access to a predefined list of channels and a mute function.
