    Discussion list overload and Gossamer Forum

    I think that they are looking for something that is more accessible with
    broader appeal to the masses than NTP.

    How about NNTP? I'm sure Slim could easily run a public news server. No need
    to worry about web interfaces or mailer daemons, it's threaded and clients
    can mark their own subjects for interest.

    too...but I fail to see what clock-synchronisation protocols have to do
