    Creating more favo(u)rites

Maybe I'm not looking in the right place, or just plain overlooking it, but I really want to have some of the following in the favourite menu:

    - Holdiday
    - Kidz
    - Dutch
    - Rock
    - Blues
    - Random

    and so on.

I create the with the random mix button and then select all the genre's I want in the mix, and then saving it. I rename the mix in the favourites menu (pencil). But when I create another one the same way, it removes the older one created. I guess I do something wrong, because I can't believe this is how it works.

How are you getting the random mix into your favorites menu? Here is how it works for me:
    1. Create a Random Mix
    2. Save the playlist with a name (I used Random Tunes 1)
    3. Make playlist Random Tunes 1 a favorite. It shows up in the favorites menu.
    4. Go back and clear out the current playlist. Run Random Mix again with the different genre
    5. Save the playlist with a different name (I used Random Tunes 2)
    6. Make Random Tunes 2 a favorite.
    7. Now both Random Tunes playlists show up in my Favorites menu.

Unfortunately you can't store random mixes with their parameters.

    Thanks. I'll try that.

    From My Music I choose:

    1. Random mix
    2. Select the genre(s) wanted
    3. Saved
    4. Click Random songs (in random mix menu)
    5. Saved (heart icon)
    6. In the favorites menu I change the name to what I need it to be]
    7. Cleared all entrys from playlist
    8. started with 1 again
    9. When I want to save this playlist again, I only have 'remove from favorites' as option (heart with cross).

Maybe it's my autistic way of not seeing the obvious. If it can't be done this way, I can use the genre setting.

Save the playlist as a "Playlist", not as a Favourite.

But as a playlist it's static it does not make e new random selection that may includ new tracks etc .

You can make a playlist a favourite and even map it to a preset button.

Thats more like a feature request

True, but it's not possible to do what the OP wants to do. I'm just giving a temporary workaround until Michael implements it

I'm not sure what the OP wants to do.

If it's just to play a random mix of a single genre, then just set the player to shuffle "song" and press play alongside the chosen genre.

If it's a random mix of say two or three genres, then make a playlist with one track from each genre you wish to include, give it a name say "Country Folk Blues", and save it as a favourite. Set "Don't Stop The Music" to play "Song Mix (limited to current genres)".

    Works a treat.

You can make as many "Genre mix" Favourites as you wish this way.
