    Ugh

Somehow my plug-in is gone, so I get to start all over. Can someone post a link, I'm not seeing anything on the hab-tunes.com site? Thanks.

    alexa-squeeze - DIY Alexa integration

Just a noob question; I understand that stunnel encrypts the traffic but what happens if someone connects directly on the port? Will he be rejected since missing cert or will he be able to access lms?
Unfortunately, I agree, this project seems to have stalled and I must thank you for providing a link to this alternative option: alexa-squeeze - DIY Alexa integration. I am trying to adapt the instructions provided to suit my Raspberry Pi environment.
I have reached the stage where the files are cloned from github. Then, unfortunately, I cannot fathom which directory they should located in. Nor do I understand, “Edit src/settings.py, filling in the details as commented there”.
If any member can expand on this particular part of the installation it would be much appreciated.

Finally, has any member successfully used this package on a Raspberry Pi?

The developer of the Alexa project has restarted development in the last week or two so the project is no longer stalled.

Just seen this thread (not on here much).

    In short, yes.

You should only expose the stunnel port to the Internet though of course (otherwise it's pointless) . The setup recommended / documented for stunnel then is to only allow authentication with a verified client certificate (this is the "secret"). By only allowing your private skill access to this certificate, you've closed the loop effectively.

Hi. You can now just download a release zip (https://github.com/declension/squeeze-alexa/releases) which is easier. You can extract it to any directory on your computer really (e.g. /home/me/projects/squeeze-alexa), so long as you have access to this, Python, and a command line (so Linux / Mac easiest, but Windows possible too) and connectivity to your NAS / server / whatever. The codebase is primarily to build and deploy the Alexa skill though.

This is how you configure the Alexa skill for your own setup. It will be under /home/me/projects/squeeze-alexa/src/settings.py in my earlier example. By design you shouldn't have to edit much, just a few hostnames / IP addresses etc.

When you say on a Raspberry Pi - is the Pi
    1. Your PC (unlikely but can be done..)
    2. RPi as a Squeezebox (player)?
    3. RPi as NAS / home server (to install, say, stunnel etc)
    4. RPi as a LMS instance

My money's on the third (and fourth perhaps), which shouldn't be too hard at all as the package manager is decent I'm told.

I have just realised that this thread is really for the habs-tunes.com set up only. I will post any follow up on this specific thread in future

    Hab-tunes download

    Hi all

I have tried working out how on earth you go about testing Habtunes?

I have created a standard account on the hab-tunes.com website but cannot see where to download the software for the Squeezebox media server?

I have also found another hab-tunes login (https://habtunes.eu.teamwork.com/launchpad/login) but my account wont work on this site (and there isnt anywhere to register).

Documentation on how to download is sketchy at best, can anyone PLEASE point me in the right direction or am I missing something here?

    Any updates?

I've always kept a keen eye on this but haven't seen any updates for a while on this. Was this project forgotten about? Can anyone shine some light on the project's standing at this point?
