    ICU version

    Hi all,

I am trying to install slimmer on a fresh install of piCorePlayer 7.0.0

lcdproc-server runs fine - I see the welcome message, but slimmer fails with

    Code:
slimmer: error while loading shared libraries: libicuuc.so.52: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
with piCore 11 icu.tcz was updated to version 64

    Code:
    Current:        2019/12/26 updated 52.1 -> 64.2 (juanito)
I don't know how I can downgrade icu - any hints?

Hey! So glad you've been able to get slimmer working on pcp7 - I'm currently trying to get it working on my pi4. However, I cannot find libftdi.tcz in any of the repos from pcp web interface. How did you get it installed?

I can't get past step 6 in the installation instructions from terba on github (can't add a link to it as this is my first post! )

    ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED!

    Thanks,
    Paul

    Sos

    Good day.
I've been struggling with this installation for days, on my old Raspberry B +
I have done all the steps and install all the dependencies
libftdi is installed as they say on page 16
as indicated in the forum, although the second download does not work.
lcdproc-server works fine in testing with my i2c 16x2 display
The problem arises in slimmer, which already gives errors in the tests and obviously nothing works after the restart.
I'm already lost and I don't know what to do
    Health for @ll

Slimmer on a recent version of Picoreplayer

    Hello there,

Slimmer on PiCorePlayer is EXACTLY what I need, however I'm I finding it doesn't seem to work following the instructions on the latest build of PiCorePlayer.

Has anyone installed from scratch recently with an I2C 20x4 LCD, and if so I'd love to know what version of PiCorePlayer "just worked". I have no issue doing some extras on top of the original instructions I just feel I'm shooting in the dark at the moment.

Having said that, if anyone knows of an alternative distro for Audio which allows menu navigation via the LCD and some GPIO buttons I'm all ears.

    Thanks in advance
    Lee
