OK - I use an nfs share (apparently much less heavy on server resources
than sshfs - an admin once told me not to use it because of heavy
resource usage) nw=hich I mount to my Mac when needed.
I looked into XLD - but couldn't find an option to verify flac files?
How can I do this?

Yes - I have =seen this. I should probably do this.

Thanks to
http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f1...old-rips-7366/
I found it:
Open Folder As Disk - Bottom left of window, you see a "Verify" Button -
that's it. Works even without cue files, and I can create cue files
from there.
Only question left: Can I automate this or run it via command line? I
don't feel like doing these checks by hand for several hundreds of
albums.
Suggestions?

Could you elaborate a bit what these are? Does it is affect speed in
data transfers? Might SAMBA be than the better option for Mac OSX
client? what about switching to NFSv3?

Might be an interesting question here as well - manly LMS are running on
Linux, managed from a Mac?

Can I do batch checking of hundreds of albums using XLD? Haven't seen
anything?

Install CUETools WIndows 10 - Was: Compareflac to accurateip database on linux?

I now tried to install it under Windows 10 - but it doesn/t work,
although I have installed .NET Framework 3.5 and enabled, Visual C++
2008 runtime, but whenever I start to run, I get the message "CUETools
has stopped working", than collecting information, but not more.
Any ideas on how I can make CUETools run on Windows 10, or any
suggestions where I can ask?
Thanks,
Rainer

I run CUETools on Vista so can't help with Windows 10 issues. However the development thread appears to be here so you could ask:

CUETools is running fine for me on Win10. Did you install only one version of the C runtime library? Better install both.

It's been quite a while since I tried it. I seem to recall desktop hangups, i.e. pauses. It wasn't as simple as low transfer speed.
I remember searching at the time and finding it seemed to be a well-known problem. I was in a hurry so gave up and looked elsewhere.
That was NFSv4 - it may have been better on v3, but my server is only serving v4, so I didn't try that.
Apols for the vague memory. If I get a chance to try v4 again I'll report back.

No worries - I am asking because I switched all my network shares from
Samba to NFS (except Time Machine backups, which work over AFP
shares). And I haven't had any major problems. OK - hangups while I was
setting up and changing settings on the Linux server, but after they
didn't change anymore, no problems so far.
I would very much appreciate to get some report back from you.
OS X: El Capitan 10.11.4
