    Any chance you could launch manually the plugin under gdb so I see previsely where it crashes? (see a post above). Otherwise, can you set "additional debugging level" to raop debugging?

    Thanks Philippe. Perhaps I found the reason (accidently). I had a Raspi with Kodi and XSqueeze running in my network, with Kodi's Airplay option activated. This lead to the Kodi Raspi appearing twice in the player list, and even if you only activate one, you're running into problems (that can be seen with some luck on the Kodi screen, changing from the XSqueeze screen to an Airplay screen).
    I'd already found out that it seems to be no good idea to have both your plugin and the Shairplay/Airplay option of PCP running.
    I've deactivated the Kodi Airplay, and crashes seem to have stopped.

    Oh I see - yes, my plugins are using the real mac address of the player as a base to construct a "fake" mac address that is then used by LMSand as an identity. So if you have 2 instances of UPnP, Chromecast or AirPlay running on the same device, it causes an issue. You can then force, in the settings screen a mac address that will be unique to each instance, that would solve the problem as well.

    So you can have many instances running on the same HW host, but you do need to help the bridge a bit with that

    Thanks for the explanation Philippe. Perhaps it would be an option to enable your plugin to give some kind of warning (comparable to those a PC gives if its network address is already in use in the network). The duplicity of the Airplay option in LMS and the different players can be quite confusing for beginners as I am
    Best regards
    Martin

    is 2.2.4.3 dev or main stream? my squeezebox is on 2.2.4.2.

    also does this require firewall opening up? it only seems to work for me once I drop the firewall.

    All version with 5 digits are dev, version with 4 are stable. V.X.Y.Z

    V = 0, maybe one day when fully done will be 1
    X = major release
    Y = new feature indicator
    Z = bug correction

    You need to open firewall just for squeeze2raop-win.exe (if Windows ...). Don't lower down your whole firewall!
