I'm wondering if anyone has come across an app/plugin/middle-ware/bridge that does the same thing as this plugin but for a UPnP/DLNA/OpenHome setup? E.g. Airplay targets found on the network are presented as DLNA or Openhome renderers to controllers.
What about the UPnPBridge plugin, in this subforum?!

    That does a different thing.
My understanding is that the request is to use a UPnP control point to manage an Airplay device - either through some sort of UPnP -> AirPlay bridge or UPnP -> LMS -> AirPlay bridge -> AirPlay device.

The UPnP bridge would make a UPnP player look like LMS player.

The AndyG UPNP plugin is closer but I still donĺt think it would do this.

    Crash when pairing with AppleTV

    Dear all,

I have a problem with the bridge: when trying to pair with my AppleTV, code is properly requested from the AppleTV, but when I click on "Pair" with the proper code nothing changes on the interface on both sides.

It appears, looking at the log, that the bridge crashed:

What is your Perl version? Can you do a *server* log when you are trying to pair?

Crashing when pairing to appleTV (Truenas-freBSD)

    Hi,

this is my first post so I apologize for mistakes.

I am running a fresh install of LMS as a (unofficial) plugin in Truenas (freeBSD):
    Code:
    [21-09-01 16:20:22.3481] main::init (389) Starting Logitech Media Server (v8.1.2, 1624550702, Thu Jun 24 18:46:58 CEST 2021) perl 5.032001 - amd64-freebsd-thread-multi
Airplay Bridge discovers my AppleTV, but it does not appear as a player in LMS.
When I press the "pair" buttom nothing happens. The log in LMS says:
    Code:
[21-09-01 16:36:38.5397] Plugins::RaopBridge::Pairing::displayPIN (57) Cannot load crypto modules, please check your configurationAttempt to reload CryptX.pm aborted.
Compilation failed in require at /var/lib/logitechmediaserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/RaopBridge/Pairing.pm line 47.
There are also numerous warnings similar to
    Code:
    [21-09-01 16:36:31.2246] Slim::Utils::Misc::msg (1283) Warning: [16:36:31.2244] Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /var/lib/logitechmediaserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/RaopBridge/HTML/EN/plugins/RaopBridge/settings/basic.html line 108.
Is there something I can try?

    Thanks

More on Crashing when pairing to appleTV (Truenas-freeBSD)

I see in an older post in this thread (http://https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?105198-ANNOUNCE-AirPlay-Bridge-integrate-AirPlay-devices-with-LMS-(squeeze2raop)&p=909012&viewfull=1#post909012) that Perl Crypto libraries must be generated to match the specific platform. My perl version is 5.032, but in the lib folder there is no 5.32 directory:
    Code:
    /var/lib/logitechmediaserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/RaopBridge/lib # ls
    5.14 5.22 5.28 CryptX.pm	UNIVERSAL
    5.18 5.24 5.30 Data
    5.20 5.26 Crypt Math
Besides, the last folder that contains a "bsd" directory is 5.24:
    Code:
    /var/lib/logitechmediaserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/RaopBridge/lib/5.24 # ls
    aarch64-linux-gnu-thread-multi i686-linux-thread-multi-64int
    amd64-freebsd-thread-multi x86_64-linux-thread-multi
    Code:
    /var/lib/logitechmediaserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/RaopBridge/lib/5.28 # ls
    aarch64-linux-gnu-thread-multi i86pc-solaris-thread-multi-64int
    arm-linux-gnueabihf-thread-multi-64int	x86_64-linux-thread-multi
    i686-linux-thread-multi-64int
    Code:
    /var/lib/logitechmediaserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/RaopBridge/lib/5.30 # ls
    aarch64-linux-gnu-thread-multi i686-linux-thread-multi-64int
    arm-linux-gnueabihf-thread-multi-64int	x86_64-linux-thread-multi
I guess that this is the problem, right?
Sorry I can't help. Do you think that the correct Crypto libraries can be generated?. Thanks.

@Simonef gave me a clue in another thread:
It seems that the plugin does not support the latest version of Perl. The last commit was to add perl support up to 5.32. You should ask @philippe_44 to add support for perl 5.34
@philippe_44, do you have an estimation of when can this be done?

No plan for now. Are you sure you need Perl 5.34 in general?

I think that I am messing things a little:
My two first posts were related to an instalation of LMS using a Truenas plugin. Perl version was 5.32. The problem seems to be related to missing crypto-libraries for freebsd using perl 5.32.
My last post was related to another attempt to install LMS using @Simonef installer in a FreeBSD jail (thread). Perl version was 5.34 this time.

In fact, I will be happy to use any of these approaches to get LMS, if I can have Airplay Bridge pairing to AppleTV.
