    It's a Xiaomi speaker so I think it's a software airplay.

Yes one instance on each server with your plugin.

I thought I'd try airplay with my Marantz CR603. I have a few queries.

    1. What ports need to be open? The User guide just says there should be 1 TCP and 3 UDP.

    2. I have been unable to stop it from either starting at 0 volume or (now) max volume. I've turned all volume options to ignore/off, and mode to -1. Is there any way to just let me set the volume?

    3. Rather like my UPnP players, I still struggle to get a consistent display for selection in the gui for my players when present, and to get them to disappear when not (I usually set the number of attempts to connect to around 20). When I make changes to the parameters (having stopped the bridge) starting the bridge again often results in the player not being visible, and I have to stop and start the bridge again, sometimes several times. Quite often my players are off when I start LMS, and I may switch some on (and off again) later. If the code is in any way different for rescans and initial scan, a 'rescan from scratch' button would be quite useful.
LMS 7.9.1 on VortexBox Midi box, Xubuntu 17.10, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. Touch & EDO. 2nd Touch standard.
LMS plugin UPnP/DLNA Bridge to MF M1 CLiC (to A308CR amp & ESLs) & Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers.
Alternatively Minimserver & Upplay to same & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers.
Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to PC speakers/headphones.
Wireless Xubuntu 17.10 laptop firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver.

    1- They are random
2- The ignore mode should have worked ...
3- Yes, it's using a different discovery system: mDNS insteead of UPnP/SOAP

    Volume

    Hi!

Thanks for this great plugin. Sounds and works perfect on Hegel H90.

But there is one annoying thing, sometimes the volume goes up by one then I load a new playlist or between songs in a random mix.

Album Gain and Smart cross fade is on.

The funny thing is that I had similar problem 8 years ago so maybe it's not a AirPlay bridge problem. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...hlight=blaster

How does this work with an Apple TV? Is music just playing in background or does it also show track information and album cover on the TV screen? Ogg Vorbis and FLAC probably have to be reencoded?

So could a 'Rescan' button do anything different from the periodic rescan? I find I have to stop the bridge, apply, wait, start the bridge and apply, to get it back again.

Try first to disable volume feedback in the plugin settings. If it still do that, then it's unlikely a plugin problem

Track info and cover is displayed on the TV, but you can tweak a bit how in the ATV settings. It works like a regular airplay application. Flac is supported and ogg will be automatically transcoded by LMS. Don't forget to do the pairing with ATV

I've never looked carefully at ipfw, but can't you just configure so that application X can open the ports its wants?
I'll look again but the log does not seem to show anything particular. Have you tried the Trigger option? (Let feedback on)
Rescan button would not do anything different than the periodic rescan. I should work on trying to solve why it does not work in the first place
