[Announce] Spotify Protocol Handler - play Spotify on all your Squeezeboxen

I have installed no problems but when I click on the test I get a failed metadata message and failed spotify streaming message. Helper app running pass, log on credentials pass.

I have pretty much the same situation - installed the handler OK, but still getting the dreaded "Spotify Error : General Transient Error" when trying to search.

This is what I see in the log:

Probably a silly question, but how do I install this plugin? I can't find it in the list of plugins on my LMS 7.8.0.

Does your Spotify Protocol Handler only work on an Intel/AMD or ARM architecture (like Triode's plugin)? Or does it work on (for example) a Freescale PowerPC (QorIQ), too?

It is there, under third party plugins. The protocol handler is a Triode / Herger joint production so not an official Logitech plugin, unlike the official Spotify app which probably had the Logitech seal of approval.

From what he has said in the past he gets a (very) limited amount of paid Logitech time to support the Squeezebox system, but clearly does more than he is paid for, partly for the love of it and partly to prevent his own Transporter becoming obsolete!

Thanks Michael!
I had to uninstall Triode's app install the handler & then reinstall Triode's app but all is good now. I didn't have to log back in your app found my user name and password.
I notice when I run the test it doesn't load meta data or stream but that's what the Logitech app is for.
