I started getting License issues, so I took the latest CustomClock from Erlands repo that no longer needs license manager, used a diff program to find the jivelite specific mods.

Uninstalled License Manager, and all is working fine.

Could you publish the diffs or instructions on what to change in jivelite? Since Erland has removed the license requirement for Custom Clock around July, 2017, my License Manager licensed code has expired and I would like to have the Custom Clock in jivelite working again. Perhaps tcutting can update the jivelite code, also?

I have diffed the updated files that erland altered to remove licensing.

I found these two files need changes:
    CustomClockApplet.lua
    CustomClockMeta.lua

    In this file,
    CustomClockApplet.lua
    ...search for...
    appletManager:callService("isLicensedApplet","Cust omClock")
    ...and replace with...
    true

In CustomClockMeta.lua, remove these two lines:
appletManager:callService("registerLicensedApplet" ,"CustomClock",nil,"Use License Manager plugin in Squeezebox Server or goto http://li
    cense.isaksson.info to get license")
    appletManager:callService("isLicensedApplet","Cust omClock")

Also, if you "sudo su -" and edit the files in /home/tc/.jivelite/userpath/applets/CustomClock/ , how do you persist the changes between reboots?

You did basically what the change was......There were also some changes since I also updated to the latest CustomClock source

    CustomClockUpdate.zip

To make changes persist in pCP, you need to backup.

    From commandline
    pcp bu

or do it from within pCP Jivelite App, or do it from the web interface.

My installed files in /home/tc/.jivelite/userpath/applets/CustomClock were sourced from http://superdatetimewu.sourceforge.n...L_1.01.002.zip

Attached is my diff file to apply changes to CustomClockApplet.lua and CustomClockMeta.lua.

    CustomClockPatch_JL_1.01.002.tar.gz

Upload CustomClockPatch_JL_1.01.002.tar.gz to your /home/tc/ directory (scp, filezilla, winscp, etc).

    Untar the patch file.

    Code:
    tar xvfz CustomClockPatch_JL_1.01.002.tar.gz
This creates two files in /home/tc/:

    Code:
    /home/tc/CustomClockApplet.lua-diff
    /home/tc/CustomClockMeta.lua-diff
Make a backup of your original files:

    Code:
    cp /home/tc/.jivelite/userpath/applets/CustomClock/CustomClockApplet.lua /home/tc/CustomClockApplet.lua-original
    cp /home/tc/.jivelite/userpath/applets/CustomClock/CustomClockMeta.lua /home/tc/CustomClockMeta.lua-original
To apply the patches you must be root to write in these directories. Change to root and change directory:

    Code:
    sudo su
    cd /home/tc/.jivelite/userpath/applets/CustomClock/
    Patch CustomClockApplet.lua

    Code:
    patch CustomClockApplet.lua /home/tc/CustomClockApplet.lua-diff
    Successful output reads:

    Code:
    patching file CustomClockApplet.lua
    Patch CustomClockMeta.lua

    Code:
    patch CustomClockMeta.lua /home/tc/CustomClockMeta.lua-diff
    Successful output reads:

    Code:
    patching file CustomClockMeta.lua
    Persist the change

    Code:
    pcp bu
    Reboot to test persistence.

    Code:
    reboot
Hope that helps someone else quickly get their Custom Clock back up and working. It did on my devices. Enjoy!

    CC Jivelite Updated (v. 1.01.004)

If you are using the repository (http://superdatetimewu.sourceforge.net/repo.xml), you should now be able to update the CustomClock Jivelite applet. It should be equivalent to what Paul described - I re-started with erland's most current code (with license dependency removed), and re-did the mods to allow it to work under Jivelite.
    It's also posted at: https://sourceforge.net/projects/sup...L_1.01.004.zip

    yr.no

    Hi,

Does this this also work for displaying weather information on the Touch and Radio without doing a lot of settings, and would it be possible to utilize free weather data from yr.no?:

I have been experimenting a little bit with creating a screen saver and I haven't been able to get any sports related information to show up on the screen. The weather info appears fine but no sports. Has anyone had any luck getting any sports info from the SDT plugin to show up on a Raspberry Pi touch screen 800x480?

I started with the Touch version and was able to move some things around, time, weather icon, temp, etc. The sports data does not show up.

I've tried various forms of these:
    sdtsporttext

%homeTeam - Name of home team
    %homeScore - Home team score
%awayTeam - Name of away team
    %awayScore - Away team score
%gameTime - Time of game or indication that the game is finished
%sport - The name of the league

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have sports scores setup in SuperDateTime?
