I apologize. I wasn't even aware of the B+. I just checked about a month ago, so it must be brand new.

Do you have a link that say it does ?

I was just reading abut it. Looks interesting. I like the gigabit eth. Never used USB Ethernet, but....

The difference in the RAM and the gigabit capabilities would be enough to get me to try it for a LMS server.

If you've used a Pi you've used USB Ethernet, that is how it is done on all(?) the Pis I think.

As I commented on the thread, might be good for a LMS server but little value on a player only.

Ahhh, thanks Jeff. So they have a USB to eth built in? Clever, I guess.

I'm using the RPI3 as a server right now and it works pretty well. Not as fast as my old Windows machine, but everything else about it is so much nicer. A bit more memory is probably the best improvement for me.

Have a great weekend and thanks again for the info.

    Announce: piCorePlayer 2.00

You'd have to implement this as a LMS plugin, rather than on pCP.

Insane bumping for long forgotten (but still loved) pCP threads seems to be the thing to do these days ....

well, aside from the funnies and to avoid the ban hammer, I have a real question

Can I take an uSD thats running LMS in a Pi4 and move it to a Pi3 and have it work properly ??

Your usb device is taking too long to become ready at boot. You need to add some delay. On the extras menu, there is a bootcodes screen. Increase the value of waitusb

    Comedians in every group.

The general answer to your questions is maybe. As long as you have not downloaded extra drivers or performed an insitu update......in these cases, definitely the answer is no.

    Thanks Paul.

Sorry for the bump of an old 2.0 thread 😂

In other news I finally updated 3x pCP players to 8.1
2x were on 6.0 so required fresh burns, 1x player and 1x LMS insitu updates.
    All is well again.

Thanks to the pCP team. Great work.
I will donate again it's been a while....
