Could LMS stream to PC speaker port for use with a Bluetooth speaker ?

    Hi,
I'm no hardware wizard but I just received a very good MassFidelity Core Bluetooth speaker and I'd like it to work with LMS without hardwiring it to the Squeezebox Touch.
I've notice that Bluetooth somehow grabs whatever music is sent to the PC speaker port. That is sound from YouTube videos, music from Windows Media, etc.
I was wondering if I could find a Plugin with that capability.

Install squeezelite on the pc or if it is the same machine that runs LMS "local player plugin" ( it is basically also squeezelite but managed by lms ) then you have a software squeezebox acessible just like any other player .

If the bluetoth speakers can pickup this audio your good

Install Squeezeplay, which is a software player, with an interface you should be familiar with.

It can be controlled just like a real Squeezebox, using phone/tablet app, LMS webgui, your Squeezebox touch, etc..

Cool which software squeezebox did you choose I tried both of the current ones and also the softsqueeze .

SqueezePlay gives you a GUI . squeelite is a background process , you only see it via your other user interfaces .

If you have an iPhone you could also install iPeng then add the local player add in.
You can then use iPeng to stream directly to your Bluetooth speaker (or AirPlay speaker)

I do not have an iPhone but my iPad works fine with the Logitech Web Interface in Safari.
It works the same as on my PCs with Mozilla.

If you get iPeng on your iPad and the add the player option you can use it to stream straight to your Bluetooth speaker. Will cost a few £/$ but iPeng is well worth it. MUCH better than the Logitech app. MUCH better.

Or, purchase a ChromeCast Audio (cheap as chips) plug it into your "Aux" in on your BT speaker. install phillipe's Chromecast LMS plugin, and you've got another hardware Squeezebox player. Better sound quality than Bluetooth.
