Hi all, I'm attempting to write a basic Java app for use with my Android tablet and need some help with the connection side of things. The only example code I can find here uses a Jersey client which I can't get to work in Android , any thoughts ?
We can't stop here this is bat country. RIP Hunter S Thompson.

Ha ha :-) I've tried that Michael but can't find an example that shows how to create a connection without a Jersey client

You should know this by now:

    http://lmgtfy.com/?q=android+json+example

And the first hit doesn't even mention Jersey.

That example just shows you how to parse json ( which I know ) I need to know the http side and how to pass in a request for data - I can figure the rest out for myself
