404 message is a problem with the plugin. I need to update the plugin but increasing the "live stream delayt" should remove it.

404 message usually appears within 5 seconds of launching stream, but stream continues to run for about 2 minutes 25 seconds.

Based on Verulamius's comments on Post 1113 I changed the SD Card from PiCore to Max2Play this morning (I have an old licence) and lo and behold it's been rock solid on the USB attached DAC for over an hour.

Just about to install the Chromecast Plugin to see if that works too on Max2Play - will report back.

I'm glad that my comment helped, although as I use Max2play on a RPI as a server and stream to SB Radio and Touch devices I do not appear to have the same system structure as you. It would appear to be a coincidence that Max2play is working for you rather than picore player so I am unable to claim any credit.

I have yet to test the DASHed FLAC via my CCA devices and Philippe's bridges.

I think you're right. Although it worked on the USB DAC it still had the same problems on all my other players.

So I've gone back to pCp which, although it doesn't work for the FLAC stream (except on a Test Windows 10 audio card), it is set up for all my other listening and I need that stability.

The log from squeezelite on PCP is still helpful to see if problem is at squeezelite end. It can be found on the "Local Player" setting tabs - "enable logging" - via the link from the underlined word "log"

To do this I had to switch off the inbuilt Squeezelite in PCP and install the Local Player plugin within the LMS gui.

The results are still the same.

Any comments on the content of these boxes before I try to capture the log?

Using LocalPlayer is simpler than trying to find out the PCP way of enabling squeezelite logging.

From a log point of view looks ok.

Managed to get the following when Starting Squeezelite and then starting the FLAC stream.
The output log isn't a file and disappears from the web page pretty quickly:

THis is what I get from my squeezelite and it looks like you squeezelite fails to open the output device and so after 1min and about 40 secs - LMS closes the stream

The difference between my system and yours may be in use of ALSA. Can you run again - this time the log "-d output=debug" to get details on ALSA setup as it looks like some ALSA parameters are not coming from command line
