I assume that they distinction here is ôshowingö ads v inserting them into your audio stream.

iBroadcast plugin - unlimited free storage and streaming of uploaded tunes

I guess they are covering themselves for the potential for using ads as a revenue stream in the future. I have used iBroadcast for over a year now and have never been subjected to any advertisements either in the audio stream, or via the app.

    IBroadcast Plugin

I have just had this response to an email from iBroadcast:

"We develop plugins in-house based on demand. Currently there just isn't enough demand to warrant the development resources necessary to do this. However we are releasing a public API soon so perhaps someone in the community may take this on."

    Sounds promising.

There is no demand because nobody knows it exists but it does sound promising

Yeah, I've uploaded all my CDs as FLAC. You can download the original files at any time.

Looks doable (for a good Perl person)
    h t t p s ://library.ibroadcast.com/

For example - this is fetching a list of the library - in this case the pre-populated sample tracks.

I see that their web UI uses Web Sockets (presumably to get the play queue size and maybe progress) which LMS does not provide today - but I suspect that it is not essential and an equivalent could be done through periodic polling when active.
