    Player Defaults?

I am using SoftSqueeze via OpenSSH (very slick BTW) and whenever I connect
from a new location it defines a new player. The problem is, I can't get
to the server page to setup the player menus to my preferences.

Did I miss this feature in the docs, or is there no way to define the
default settings for any "new" player that is added?

    Player Defaults?

    Michael,

As far as I know you cannot define default settings for a new player in
the slimserver, but you can access the player menus over ssh. One of the
buttons on Softsqueeze will open the slimserver web page, in the slim
skin it's the third button on the top left of the main window.

Another approach would be to set the Softsqueeze mac address (in the
Softsqueeze preferences, network tab), say to 00:00:00:00:00:00 the
first time you start it in a new location. This will make all the
players appear to be the same player. If you do this remember not to use
two or more of these players at the same time!

    Regards,
    Richard
