Display Album Art for Streaming Music (e.g. Radio Paradise)

I see that this has been asked before but I couldn't find a solution.

I would like to display the album art from a streaming music source such as Radio Paradise.
I know that for music in my Squeezebox folder, I can use:

URL= (SqueezeboxIP)/music/current/cover.jpg?player=(Player name or MAC)

For streaming music the above URL displays the Radio Tower Graphic not the current Album cover.

Is there a way to do this? I know that it works on the apps like iPeng.

I guess you want to say: you'd like to display this artwork on some UI
_other_ than the player's or the web UI?

Send a status query to the server and you'd get some "remoteMeta" data
back, among which there's artwork_url.

TBH I have no idea why this is so complicated, why "current" wouldn't
work. That would probably be something to look into for 7.9...

Oh, I already did this :-). /music/current/cover.jpg would return what
you want in LMS 7.9.

Oh, I already did this :-). /music/current/cover.jpg would return what

Sweet, loaded 7.9 and that did the trick The Album Art from the streaming stations now show at /music/current/cover.jpg.
As you suspected, I want to embed into a Home Automation Music Player (HomeSeer).

No issues with 7.9 so far and I will look at the other new features.

Hey Guys!

Got the same problem and no clue. Updated to 7.9 but no Artwork is shown.
Did I miss some settings? On some webradio streams i got radio cover, some strems only the radio antenna - but never the album cover.

Please note that hardly any station does provide artwork. Radio Paradise
is the one exception. The issue which was addressed here is not to
provide artwork when there's none, but to always display it when it is
available.

Your best bet is to play the station through the Internet Radios menu
(or TuneIn), as in this case TuneIn will try to provide the missing
artwork. Unfortunately even they don't do this right now for some legal
reason. But they promised to be back in 2016.
