Did iTunes 12.2 (latest) break the itunes plugin in LMS?

That was really the only change...iTunes library streamed from a different PC on the network upgraded to itunes 12.2 today. The plugin looks like it's running, sees the files etc, but none of the music / playlists populate in LMS. I can map directly to the itunes music folder (LMS basic settings) and see music, but I don't have access to the playlists if I do this.

Anyone else run into the problem? Or is it just too early to tell...12.2 was just released today for PC.

I see elsewhere that SONOS users are reporting that they can no longer access iTunes playlists on Sonos after itunes update to 12.2.

a workaround, a reason, but not a solution

    Nope, never touch the stuff.

After I updated to 12.2.0.145 and found my iTunes sync broken:
Found that if you export your library (File - Library - Export Library) to a new .xml file and point the LMS plugin to this new file, the plugin works as intended. Downside to this is that every change you make in iTunes will require you to again export the library.

I compared the 'broken' xml to the working, exported xml. Immediately noticed that at the top of the broken file, the Music Folder wasn't defined. In the exported xml, it was there. In my case, this missing string reads:

    <key>Music Folder</key><string>file://localhost/C:/Users/xxxxxx/Music/iTunes/iTunes%20Media/</string>

Interestingly, this <key> is now located (in the broken xml) at the very bottom of the file.

At this point, I've got itunes closed so no more changes are going to be made to the xml. Using notepad, I moved the <key> from the bottom of the file back up to the top where the rest of the <key>s are defined. Saved the changes and pointed LMS back at this previously broken xml...It worked...everything was back to how it was before I upgraded.
    BUT
Opening itunes and making a minor change that caused the library (xml) to be saved, erased my edit of <key> being moved and the plugin was again broken.

So, I think we know what Apple needs to fix. There's no reason, that I can figure out, that this key is separated from the rest of the keys. Who's got a line to an iTunes engineer?

Apple is not going to fix anything. This is the new logic behind their integration between iTunes and Apple Music (a combined library) so they changed the format. Everybody else will probably have to adapt, after all, Apple officially doesn't endorse any iTuns integration anymore

Is there an easy way to reverse iTunes to previous version? ... Until this gets fixed.

What if you added that folder information to the "iTunes Media Folder"
setting in Settings/iTunes? This used to be there for eg. NAS users who
had to map the NAS' internal paths to those in the XML file. But it
    could help your case, too.

    Any news on this issue?

Is there going to be an update of LMS iTunes plugin (Who would do this with Logitech out of the picture?)? Or, apple will address this as per of larger iCloud problem?

If you bothered to read previous postings and answer my simple question,
then we might be one step closer to getting this back to work.
