Here is the log from the first three Tracks of "Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon" from "My Music" library of LMS.
I hope you see my user actions in the log.
upnpbridge_mymusic2.log
I tried it with version 1.18.2 and it is the same like 1.16.1.
At the end of the third track I tried also the stop command a lot of times until music stops finally. After restart of upnp-bridge I start playing the song from my music library (NAS).
After some seconds of playing I press pause, then the music stops finally and all seems ok.
Now I press pause again and the music is playing further, but after approximately 10 seconds the music is gone but in the UI the playing bar goes further.
I used the Squeezelight-X with Material Skin.

UPnP Session Dropping - Could it be a Hardware Issue?
Philippe,
I was hoping to get your opinion...
From the start of using the UPnP/DLNA Bridge, the UPnP session between LMS and the renderer in my Hegel H190 frequently drops. Power cycling the Hegel seems to be the only remedy. I can easily "force" UPnP session drops by track-scrubbing (forward and backward) or making rapid track changes etc. Otherwise the UPnP session will eventually drop on its own through regular playback.
I'm running LMS 7.7.6 on a Synology DS-218+ (2GB RAM, Dual CPU at 2.0 GHz burst up to 2.5 GHz).
My emerging theory is the NAS could be sacrificing UPnP session stability in favour of other tasks. For example, "housekeeping" tasks on the NAS may be taking CPU cycles away from LMS (along with UPnP/DLNA Bridge) to the point where UPnP session management is compromised. The only other active app on this NAS is PLEX - something I only use occasionally and never when the Hegel/LMS is being used. To the best of my knowledge, I have UPnP/DLNA Bridge working as a pass-through - so no transcoding is happening in the NAS.
Do you think dedicating a PC (with a faster CPU) to LMS would reduce or eliminate these UPnP session drops?
FYI: As a work-around I've been using Synology's Audio Station/Media Server combo for UPnP. It rarely drops UPnP sessions but has some other nasty behavior. It also lacks the elegance and flexibility of the iPeng/LMS experience.
I've been looking at Roon and Audirvana as potential replacements for LMS but neither appeal to me for various reasons. I'm very devoted to LMS.
Thank you.Last edited by ShutterShock; 2019-05-16 at 11:23. Reason: Clarify the problem.

Hello Philippe,
you know, that the Version 1.4 was the last one witch works farish with my Synology 213+ (ppc). There are always recurrent gaps in playback. Is it possible, that you exerine this version for the biggest mistrakes for a gapless playback?
For logging I played an album without changing anything. This ist the log with a gap in playback in 19:22 at the title "higher Ground". The Playbar walks forward in this time an after finishing the title the time-display goes on without changing to the next title. :

I do'nt remember where we left our discussion, but I can't do a build starting from an old version. Now what happens is that your player stops responding to UPnP update requests. You can install the latest version of UPnPBridge and try to replace your binary by https://www.dropbox.com/s/egp2xawj95...-ppc-thru?dl=0. It's the latest version but with a build option that removes all decoding/re-encoding modes which I think were a problem for you (started when I added the alac codec, according to my logs). So it will only work in "thru" mode. Then in the settings of the new version (in LMS), you'll find a parameter that let you control when/how unresponsivbe players are handled. It might help.

the XML config file is not created
Hello,
I cannot manage to make the plug in work, no device are found.
It seems that on my LMS the plug is not able to generate the xml config file. I have tried many time to generate one but nothing happens.
My config: LMS 7.9.1 running on a Netgear readynas ultra (x86) with the latest plug in automatically updated.
All devices (Nas, Squeezebox,Linn Kiko streamer, etc) are on the same ethernet network without any router restrictions. The Linn Kiko I wish to attach to LMS is, of course, perfectly integrated in the network (it works fine on is own with minimserver running on the Nas too).
I accessed my Nas' folder via ssh (see picture) to monitor what's going on when using the plug in. I believe that no device are the cause of the problem.
What I found is that no xml files are created at any time; but I can create one by command line on the Nas; then, I oddly can erase this file from the plug in interface.
I am ok to bypass the create button on the interface, but I have absolutly no clue of what to put inside this config file.
please help .
cheers,
Froggy

Do you have any firewall at all set up? I found that if minimserver is running it can grab the usual UPnP ports (including 49152) and then LMS can't get through the firewall on different ones if they are closed (at least that was my experience). If you do have a firewall on, try running with it off, however briefly. You might also try stopping minimserver and restarting the UPnP bridge to see if that helps.
The config file is described in great detail in the user guide, accessed from the UPnP settings page, but I doubt that will help until you get LMS to at least detect your Kiko.
If still stuck you need to supply a log file so philippe can take a look.LMS 8.1 on PC, Xubuntu 20.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. 2 Touches & EDO.
LMS plugin UPnP/DLNA Bridge to MF M1 CLiC (A308CR amp & ESLs) & Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers.
Also Minimserver & Upplay to same & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers.
Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to PC speakers/headphones.
Wireless Xubuntu 20.04 laptop firefox/upplay or Android mobile with Squeeze-Ctrl/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver.

Hi Philippe
I have tried to launch the pug in with the 'statit' option. When I clic on 'generate' I have the usual message to wait for 30sec, then the panel control says the plug in is running, but the static mode has returned to 'normal' mode ...
Still, there is no xml file created. Should the interface keep displaying 'static mode' ?
What about the ssl libraries ? Can I fix that manually ?
Maybe manually injecting the upnpconfig.xml would do ? I don't know how to build one (what to write inside) but I cold do it if someone could provide a working one or copy/paste the content.
Thank you for your help
cheers
