LMS remote access: safe, secure and free with Tailscale (mesh VPN)
After not too much effort, I'm able to access my Logitech Media Server remotely, securely and for free over cellular using a VPN.
Tailscale was the VPN application suite recommended to me by someone else and I'm happy to recommend it to you all here.

Home Assistant - LMS - Material Skin
Hi all,
Has anybody managed to get LMS working well within Home Assistant? I've been trying the Webpage Card Configuration and it can display the Material Skin but Artists/Albums/Genres pages are all blank but the New Music page works!!?!
Are there better ways of integrating... -
Mount worked on PiCorePlayer (lms) version 5, but now doesn't on version 8...
I've been running lms on PiCorePlayer v5 for yonks. My music is on a WD MyCloud share, and I mounted it using cifs. As I said, it's been working absolutely fine.
However, I was only using a 4G SD on my rpi, and I was running into space issues. So I got an 8G card and decided to upgrade... -
ChromeCast Bridge does not recognize my ChromeCast devices
I have installed the ChromeCast Plugin on my LMS on an UNRAID server and It cannot find my chromecast devices.

Playback goes into 4 second loops on both wired Win10 and Pi4 LMS. Log file attached
I am running LMS 8.2.1 on a Pi4 and LMS 7.9.2 on Win10. I am testing them separately and get the same problem. Playback audio suddenly goes dead and it goes into a 4 second loop, as seen on the Win10 browser interface. Main points are:
- testing with 2 sync'd SB3s
- the Pi4 works... -
High resolution FLACs (192/24) stuttering during playback
I'm trying to play high resolution 192/24 FLACs via LMS 8.1.2 on a Pi4 to two wired SB3s. Playback breaks up every couple of minutes. Why is this? I am happy for it to just transcode to 48/16 by simply discarding the extra information. -

SB3 occasionally stops / clicks with LMS running on a wired Pi4
My WiFi SB3 occasionally stops, clicks, or makes odd noises. The obvious answer is this is a networking problem but I'd be surprised since LMS is running on a wired up-to-date Pi4, and the WiFi SB3 is pretty nearby albeit on a 2 node mesh system. I live in a small detached house and the WiFi is excellent... -

Last night the Windows 10 computer that runs headless with LMS LogitechMediaServer-8.3.0-1632112497 from September 2021 rebooted.
This morning the players were not synced, after recyncing them I started a 38-min podcast via Spotty, I just stopped after about 28-mins, nothing would play.... -
