LMS on Windows: opus and vorbis transcoded to PCM end prematurely
I enabled transcoding to PCM for opus and vorbis recently. After applying this hack to convert.conf (thanks to @mw9):
ogg pcm * *
# IFT:{START=trim %s}
[sox] -q -t ogg $FILE$ -t raw -c 2 -2 -s - $START$
βso that 48kHz files will play at correct speed (opus is always 48kHz,...

It doesn't matter what browser or device or client (ie Android app) I use. It's always the same. You are correct: The WebUI and Player menus now diverge and are almost impossible to align. But I understand this is "by design" - and as long as I can get the menus I need on the top level, I'm...

Player menus are odd, broken or missing on fresh 8.3.1 install
Folks, I just did a completely fresh install of 8.3.1. on a fresh Windows device.

Windows: Unicode not showing on squeezeboxes, but it is on Web and other UIs
Apologies if this has been covered (I'm sure it has), but I can't find the exact answer I'm looking for.
I run LMS 8.3.1 on Windows 10, with UTF-8 support enabled. So LMS picks up non-latin tracks just fine and I can work with them on any UI I choose to interact with. So far so good....

Not sure if this is still an issue? Windows hid UTF-8 support deep away in the UI. Turning it on enables LMS to pick up non-latin characters as expected. (Windows considers LMS a "non-unicode" app, which needs explicit support for UTF-8)
Go to Settings -> Region -> Additional date,...

Confirmed. When enable UTF-8 support = enabled, LMS scans all non-latin tracks properly, but LMS control crashes silently on the splash screen. (Almost) Everything else seems to work as expected.
Turning UTF-8 support off causes all tracks with non-latin characters to drop out of the DB.
