The Changelog of LMS 8.3.1 mentions following bug fix: "#857 Fix changing MySB credentials using the "setsncredentials" command".
This may fix the problem that LMS repeatedly asks for your mysqueezebox.com credentials. Also note that version 8.3.0 is the latest version that...

There is an lms update script for pCP for manually updating LMS on pCP, but as far as I can see with this script you can only select between:
- latest release version (at this moment 8.3.0)
- latest bugfix version (at this moment 8.3.1 nightly)
- latest development version (at this...

Yes, that should be possible. I do this occasionally for offline editing of the favorites.opml file. After overwriting the favorites.opml file LMS should be restarted to pick up the changes. I know how to do this for my LMS running on Linux Mint, but not for LMS running on pCP. So you need to figure...Last edited by CJS; Yesterday, 13:46.

According to the LMS Changelog, support for media types other than audio has been removed since LMS version 8.3.0.
There was a thread started by mherger with a discussion about this change, but I can't find that thread at this moment.Last edited by CJS; Yesterday, 13:16.

The symptoms that you experience seem to indicate that the LMS part of pCP is corrupted. If I were you I would indeed consider a full reinstallation, including a reformat of your SD card.
Tip: When after a full reinstallation you have a working system again, make a backup of your SD card...

What Philippe mentions limits the sample rate of the audio sent to the player to 48000 samples per second. You can also limit the bitrate of the audio sent to the player via the LMS web interface. On the Player tab, select the player for which you want to limit the bitrate, and then Audio. Under the...

Did you also try http://192.168.68.123:9000? You should then get LMS with default skin. Maybe the material plugin has been removed by accident.
Or just click LMS at the very top line of the pCP landing page....Last edited by CJS; 2023-01-29, 23:38.

If your Synology can run Docker, you can install LMS 8.3.1 as a Docker image.
See LMS Community Docker image. I have no experience with Synology and/or Docker, so if you need help hopefully other users can help you.Last edited by CJS; 2023-01-29, 22:04.

How do you check if your Pi is available on the network? Did you login on the web interface of your router as suggested by Redrum? Alternatively you could use a network scanner. The one that I use is Nirsoft Wireiess Network Watcher.
PS: You could also connect a TV or computer display to...Last edited by CJS; Yesterday, 09:05.

OK, thanks. So you can connect/disconnect a player to/from mysqueezebox.com via LMS. But it is a use case that does not make sense to me....

Interesting. So far I had only tried to connect my non-Logitech players to mysqueezebox.com via jivelite on my piCorePlayer, or by using SqueezePlay on a Windows PC as controller. Then connecting to mysqueezebox.com did not work. But indeed, when selecting mysqueezebox.com via LMS interface > Home...Last edited by CJS; 2023-01-27, 22:46.

I don't think there was a problem. If your players are connected to a local LMS or Daphile server, it is perfectly fine if your players show as "Not Connected" at mysqueezebox.com....

Additional information: In my experience, only Logitech hardware players can connect to mysqueezebox.com. Other players like piCorePlayer and Squeezeplay/squeezelite can make use of services that require mysqueezebox.com (for example Tidal), but they always require a local LMS (or Daphile) server, and...

It may be an attempt of mherger to display a non-cropped logo when linking to a post in another thread......

My personal preference would indeed be that just the raw link is displayed. In my opinion the addition of the icon, the thread title and the first sentence(s) of the other thread has no added value and is a waste of space. It makes posts with links to posts in other threads unnecessary big in terms...

OK, here are three attempts to get a more compact link to a post in another thread:
1) Using (code)(/code) with square brackets:
Code:https://forums.slimdevices.com/forum/user-forums/logitech-media-server/1627865-bluetooth-in?p=1627934#post1627934

Maybe this has been answered before, but I can't find the answer:
With the new forum, is there a way to provide a link to a specific post in another thread, without getting a picture of half of the Logitech logo, together with thread title and first sentence of opening post in that thread?...

I think that what you want will not work when using piCorePlayer as Bluetooth receiver, since with pCP you would first need to pair with a bluetooth device, and then set the bluetooth type of that device to streamer. So you would need to pair and configure every individual bluetooth device of your guests....

Since I have bookmarked the IP address of the player, I can only say for sure that I lose access to the numerical IP address.
Are you suggesting that for some reason the router changes the IP address of the player? Next time that this problem occurs I can do a network scan to check if the IP address...Last edited by CJS; 2023-01-24, 17:17.
