Sorry, but this works for my limited testing. Both when chaging tracks that have ratings, and to/from those that do not. All I can suggest is that you use Material's JSON debug to see what LMS is stating the rating should be....

Ah! Might have found the culprit. In Material's server side settings do you have "Show artist first in now-playing and queue" set to "No" ? Because that seems to break things for me.

For now set this to "Yes" and artists will be shown....

Hmmm... I hacked the response message into Material and its showing the artist for me. Can you detail what Material's settings are like in its server settings page?...

Material does poll LMS status at the start/end of each track. For the first and last 6 seconds Material polls the status every 2 seconds....

Something really odd is going on with your system, as I cannot recreate this. Can you try using Material's JSON debug? e.g.

1. Start Material as http :// SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json
2. Clear any items in queue
3. Navigate to album to add
4. Open your browser's developer...

Composers, etc, are only shown if they are different from the artist. The reason being is that you can already see the artist, so repeating makes no sense - when there is no (current) way of showing that this is because they are the composer. The extra 'artist' data shown is there so you know someone...

You can ignore that error. Start with an empty queue, and then see if errors after you add to queue....

Is this with all tracks? Only tracks on certain genres?

When i said that there was no changes that would have affected this, I was thinking the slowdown was in the Material Javascript handling - and there was no slowdown there. But I failed to think about LMS taking longer for searches due to asking for more meta-data. The difference in speed is huge!...

Just did a quick check, and it is indeed the extra meta-data that is massively slowing this down. 3.1.0 asks for genre and all artist vlaues (composer, band, etc). I'll just remove this, and revert to the previous display - so no composers, etc, shown in a tracks search results. The slowdown is just...

Issue raised on GitHub: https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/issues/858 I've attached a hacked-up OGG file I used to create the issue to the GitHub report. (Its a royalty-free sample OGG I use for testing issues such as this).

I'll add a work-around for splitting "A, B" - this should resolve the above issue. However, if you do have "A,X, Y and Z" as above then this will not work-around this in that case (as I check the number of (e.g.) "composer" name strings matches the number of "compose_ids"...
