OK, so you are seeing the correct list. SLX does not show you Phono, Tuner, TV/Audio, or HEOS, because they would not be able to be used as an input for an external device (i.e. a squeezelite player), so you would not want to associate one of those inputs with your player. Hope that makes sense....

Richard,
Yes, You can install 2.11.56.0 from the OneDrive location over the test 2.11.55.2 version I had you test. They are pretty much identical. When we saw that 2.11.55.2 we tested on your system solved the refresh issue, I bumped the version to 2.11.56.0 in order to publish through...

A call to a Telnet KeepAlive function with parameters that are apparently server system dependent. I had changed the parameters in an experiment to better recover from Modern Standby. I left those changes in there after seeing no issues on all my systems. Anyway the code was causing the Telnet connection...

Latest Version = 2.11.56
Btw, the latest version available on OneDrive and the Store is 2.11.56. I believe this fixes the 14 second refresh issue some were experiencing. It may solve the false positive virus scans as well.
I am working with richardsqueezelitex who has an Antipodes...Last edited by rgdawson; 2023-03-24, 23:52.

What is missing? SLX filters out certain internal sources that you could not configure with a player, such as Radio/Tuner, Bluetooth, Network. It also does not show AVR inputs that are set to "Hide" (On the receiver). Let me know if you have something not in that category. Not a scrollbar...

I have noticed this before with the Microsoft Store app. It does not seem to update that time until you do get updates again or something. Anyway its not an SLX thing.

I may have moved that into debug, so you may need to enable debug level....

What version are you running?
For log files, I need you enable debug info (Settings | Advanced/Debug | Log Level = Debug, Enable). And restart SLX. You can save that to a file from the LogWindow and email to me at [email protected]. I need all of it.
Thanks,

Can anyone look at logging data, preferably with debug turned on, and tell me what they see? I can't reproduce this on my systems. Look for "Squeezelite aborted - recovering" and/or "Reconnecting TelNet/CLI Interface"

New Version 2.11.52
Changes:- Attempt to fix issues some are reporting on Sleep/Resume
- Added some parallel processing on startup to shave of a bit of time to start up (maybe a half second on some systems).

I'm afraid not. This idea presents several technical challenges and something would have to be implemented in both material skin and in SLX and new signaling between the two, so I think it is a no for now.

I tried to find a R-Pi for a couple years. I would use this link almost every day to try to locate one: https://rpilocator.com/ I finally gave up and just went on e-Bay and paid 4x for one from a scalper. That is just the market. Good luck.

OK, thanks for letting me know. (I'm actually surprised by that, oh well.) I'm hoping the changes I have made will solve the problem in your scenario as well. I think squeezelite is aborting for some reason, possible because the available audio devices are changing underneath it as they all wake...

Thanks for the detail. I have only been able to reproduce a sleep/resume issue by RDP'ing into the PC running SLX and putting it to sleep while in the RDP session and using other than "Primary Sound Driver" and with the RDP session configured to play audio on the client. Then it awakes (not...

I never answered this... SLX uses/executes the squeezelite executable under the hood. SLX just passes the output device that you select as a parameter when starting squeezelite. My understanding is that squeezelite does not generally take exclusive access (although, if you know how, you can define...

My working theory right now is that on resume, if 'Default' is selected for the audio output device, then squeezelite is being started up before the audio device has resumed from sleep and is ready. If a specific audio output device is selected then SLX polls to ensure that audio device is responding...

Again, thanks all for reporting. I was not able to reproduce this last night, but today I tried again with "Run in Background" enabled and I was able to reproduce. Do you see the problem when "Run in Background" in not enabled? Maybe I just got lucky or maybe it is related.
