It works fine for me. Here are some screen shots. The first one shows the Qobuz plugin settings page, where the "Preferred format" must be set to "FLAC Hi-Res 24 bits />96 kHz". The second and third show the track info while playing in the Material Skin client. The fourth shows...Last edited by SamY; 2023-01-21, 06:02.

What plugin settings, if any, would need to be changed in order for the bridge to treat each track of a Radio Paradise FLAC Interactive stream separately, as LMS does? Currently it treats each 'block' of tracks as one track and updates the metadata only when the user manually skips forward to the next...

Do your power amps have network connectivity capability of any sort? If not, the Event Trigger plugin is probably your best option....

If the power amps happened to be of the Denon or Marantz networked variety (e.g. Denon PMA-900HNE), a combination of the "Denon AVP/AVR Control" and "PowerSave" plugins would do exactly what you want....

Sure. Of course you can do that not only with Orange Squeeze but with any of the LMS client apps, of which there are quite a few as you probably know....

Okay. That would be great. I'm thinking the parameters for the notification would be something like "IP Address" (of AVR), "zone" (for future use), "setting" (power, volume, source, mode, etc.), "new value"....

I second slartibartfast, but how do you do it using Orange Squeeze (or are you just referring to using any LMS client app with the Qobuz plugin)?...

Re-reading this, I'm not sure what you're saying. When you say "plain browser", do you mean the web interface to the AVR itself? If so, that would be outside the LMS infrastructure and of no concern to me. Just making sure we're on the same page....

I was suggesting that SLX create notifications only when it initiates changes to the AVR settings via the UI, not when it detects them via polling. I'm not really concerned with trying to stay current with changes made to the AVR settings outside the LMS infrastructure. Polling via telnet would, for...Last edited by SamY; 2023-01-14, 17:35.

Thanks for the info -- especially the link to the Denon AVR library Github project. That looks very interesting. If the idea of implementing an LMS "Slim::Control::Request::addDispatch" mechanism to SLX that the Denon plugin could subscribe to for notifications about AVR settings updates appeals...

Thanks for the detailed info, Greg. It's apparent that telnet is not the preferred communication method for these AVR's going forward but it does the job given its limitations on the older models. With regard to polling, the Denon plugin already has fairly robust error-handling and retry capabilities...

So my question is "Why do you use the DeRemote app?".Seriously. I know it's supposed to be a very good app but it's just like the AVR-Remote Android app in that it leaves its telnet connection to the AVR open the entire time it's running whereas the plugin opens and closes the...

After streaming music over DLNA from my phone for awhile, I went back to SLX and it now recognizes my AVR. I should say that I never use DLNA to stream to it normally. It actually took me a while to figure out how to do it until I remembered that the Neutron music app on my phone supports streaming...Last edited by SamY; 2023-01-10, 03:14.

Hey, Greg. While searching the web for info on DLNA networking issues with the AVR-3311CI, I ran across this post from 2011 on the AVSForum. Look familiar?

Unfortunately, it still doesn't recognize my AVR-3311CI. Any thoughts?
Edit: I am able to stream music to it from my phone via DLNA....Last edited by SamY; 2023-01-10, 02:38.

As luck would have it, mine is an AVR-3311CI. I will be doing some testing later today.
Btw, did you ever have a chance to check out the Denon AVR Control plugin's "Denon/Marantz AVR Settings" menus under Material Skin's player settings? While the menus do utilize the telnet protocol,...
