There must be thousands of Radios out there working happily despite the version mismatch. How does it fail for you? Any error message?
-
Hmm... I should probably tone down that warning, as I've implemented a workaround. The devices should just work, even with LMS 8.x and firmware 7.x. The message "we'll try to play nice and return a fake version number..." probably isn't clear enough saying that it'll work anyway.

Are you missing IO::Socket::SSL? Check with your system package manager....

Add to this networking issues, failures to deal with https etc. as can be seen reported in the log file....

Do you still see this message after upgrading LMS? Could you please report back if that was still the case in 24h?...

Please try to answer my questions. In particular check the server.log file. Creating a new account won't solve any problem.

One more question: is your LMS configured to sign in to MySB (Settings/MySqueezebox.com)?

Oh wow, that's not good... but you instinctively did what the message should have told you to do: upgrade your LMS to 8.3.
But I'm not sure what the DNS issue is about. I doubt this is coming from LMS. Can you check server.log?

I wouldn't think so: OMLI pulls the list from the database. All genres that were found in your library. But for the Qobuz use case I'd assume you'd need the values found in Qobuz' data instead. This could be part of the library's genre list if you integrated with it. But albums you browse in the Qobuz...

...and don't forget that genres are being localised... I'm seeing "Kammermusik", "Klassik" etc. Maybe you should have a way to collect genres from Qobuz' responses, and populate a list with those genres for the user to select from....

If you can afford the memory overhead (if there really is eventually) I'd use JSON/RPC over telnet. It would give you well structured response data without any manual parsing. Doing a "status" query for the player would give you all the metadata needed for your case. It's what the web UI or...

If you use VPN then you should be good. The two networks in the two places would be connected, routing traffic between them. I can access my LMS in 192.168.1.x from my computer int 192.168.123.x. No port forwarding needed.

In LMS go to Settings/Advanced/Logging and up the value for plugin.deezer. In debug mode it'll be _very_ noisy. So try INFO first.

Yes, it re-imports everything. And the Genre Replacement is post-scan....
