Why not try it with either Moode or Volumio, it works with either OS, then both offer Squeezelite as an output (note any successful output settings).

When you power on, do you have a steady red led and a green led that intermittently flashes (showing activety).

If the green led flashes at a regular interval, this may indicate an error, there are error caodes over on the rpi forum.

I would use a RPI OS- 32 bit Bullseye lite...

My advice would be to make a copy of your current SD card and keep this as a back-up.

Then take either a new card, or the old one and install pcp v8.2 0.

Install the default LMS and then update it to v8.3.1

Do all your configuration

Run with this...

I then installed, seperately, the Command Line Tools and Homebrew. (I know they can both be installed by Brew but when I did it previously, the Mac OS wanted to updaet the CMD LineTools.

With Brew installed I opened a Terminal and installed Lame (brew install lame)
