That is possible. The check on network status (every 5 seconds) is somewhat rudimentary, it does not actually check for connectivity, just that the network appears to be configured. In principal a loss of wi-fi connection should show itself, but...
It's a pity that "repair network"...

The blue icon does not indicate wifi signal loss. It is intended to indicate that the network connection is running, but that no contact can be made with LMS.

I don't think so.
I forget how I originally configured this, there must have been a pop up at some point in the dim, distant past.
Perhaps a manual tweak to the settings might work:

This is also my thinking.
If my brain were engageable, I could work out each row and column from https://github.com/ralph-irving/sque.../jive_matrix.c, and map the matrix to the individual switches. So one might positively affirm that...

The keys are, indeed, “matrixed”, the matrix being driven by some of the SOC’s GPIO pins. The CPU does the scanning, interrupt driven.

My recollection is that the clicking sound/feel is generated by the membrane, and not the dome. This surprised me....

Nice find. It’s conceivable, but I didn’t look closely enough.
One point: one would need to lift away the entire “buttons membrane” to work on the ”click-it”. I didn’t attempt or investigate this because it surrounds the wheel assembly, and I had no desire to induce damage...

It is not completely accurate as regards my controller. (A later revision ?)
With mine, there are four little cross head screws that need to be removed first. The faceplate then comes off pretty much as described, and the circuit board can be partially moved. But beware, there are two small...
