If anyone is actually using this plugin can they get it to upsample to the closest synchronous frequency?
To me it always seems to upsample to the highest selected Output sample rate and completely ignores the "Target sample rate" setting....

Even though many complained about early CDs I wouldn't be surprised if they now prefer them to a lot of the compressed remasters we seem to be stuck with now via Tidal and Qobuz. Good luck trying to find a decent sounding version of many Genesis albums after the latest remix/master 🤣...

Not pCP but I am sure pCP has an option to set time periodically by connecting to an NTP server....

Interesting. My Pi running Raspberry OS has an uptime of 23 days and the time is within a couple of seconds. It must regularly connect to a time server automatically....

This would seem to cover the case of upsampling 44.1 to 88.2 and leaving 96 alone. It doesn't work though. If I select "closest synchronous" it still upsamples to 96 from 44.1....

Having tried this now I can answer your questions.
1. The plugin takes care of the configuration. You don't need to change it yourself 2. Yes it resamples on the server side.
3. You can use any recent Squeezelite version but if you want to use wav files you need to add -w to the Squeezelite...

I wanted to try upsampling 44.1 FLACs to 88.2 but leave the few 96kHz FLACs alone. It seems that is not possible and all FLACs get resampled to 88.2 kHz or am I missing something blindingly obvious?

If I increased the recording level it would have clipped though. I wouldn't expect all the tracks to have exactly the samee peak value either. It just seems odd that all of your track peaks are 0.999969 without using normalisation. I noticed some of my recent captures had the recording level set slightly...

Strange. Your track peak is the same as for track 5 and the album peak but mine is only 0.597839 compared to an album peak of 0.957336....

What are your tags for track 9 then. That seems to be the quietest track on my album.

That probably explains it then. My figures are very different. Does Vinyl Studio normalise each track separately? My highest peak is track 3 followed by track 1 but track 5 has a lower peak than both of them.

If you use replaygain can you check all the values for that track. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the peaks on the Tidal version are clipped. I noticed some minor clicks on some of my tracks which I am tracking down one by one. I wouldn't normally bother but the rest of it is so quiet they are annoying...

This has started to bother me for some reason. I can only think it is down to the amplitude of the waveform. I played the same track from Tidal which was 800kbps compared to my 741kbps. The Tidal track was louder than mine with replaygain turned off....

I saw Beefheart live at Loughborough Uni during his tour promoting "Doc At The Radar Station". One of the weirdest concerts I have ever seen, in a good way 😀. I found a bootleg recording of the concert on Dimeadozen and you hear the sound of plastic beer "glasses" on the floor...

In my case it is redigitised because I did a needle drop of the vinyl 😀...

What level of FLAC compression do you choose? I captured mine at 24/96 then converted to 16/44.1 level 5 FLAC after removing the obvious clicks....
