Just to mention it.

When using the IMO excellent "lms-material" plugin as controller on my iOS devices - Qobuz album-arts are displayed in a split second.

You can use lms-material as a full screen controller if you add its bookmark to the iOS home screen....

I don't see your problem. Pretty much all (media-) apps I know got the controls at the bottom. And that's for an obvious reason.
I do think when looking at modern media apps a design goal got to be this: As a user you need be able to handle the most basic
functions start/stop/pause/next/vol+/-...

Don't you keep the artwork in the iPeng cache and use your own indexing/keys?

I am not using mysqueezebox.com. And I am wondering how long it'll still be available anyhow....

If it doesn't work just turn it off. Qobuz has no landscape on iPhone. Prime Music just offers a special playback window in landscape. Everything else is portrait.

However. I would distinguish between iPhone and iPad. IMO running iPeng on iPad in landscape is a pretty convenient way of...

Did you have a chance to look at the (Qobuz) album art caching issue I reported earlier?

Perhaps there's a chance to just get the old functionality back if things get too complicated.
Or give the user an option to choose between letting LMS crop the images...

I think I stepped over a real bug:


If I hold the iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 16.4.1(a) in landscape orientation
and than start iPeng,

the app (windows and borders) gets scrambled.

It seems no forced window refresh gets it back into order.
Only closing...

Fair enough. However. To me it's just a. inconsistent to landscape mode and b. redundant to the screen with controls banner plus artist/album/title banner.


BTW a closely related subject in that, I call it, playback screen area. ( I use an iPad lately )

I was wondering about a feature.

In landscape playback mode I can display (single tap in the center) just the album cover and colored background and nothing else. All iPeng menus/banners etc disappear. That's IMO great.

However. In portrait mode there's no...
